Margaret River Region

Margaret River Region: From Trail to Table

Cape2Camp Recommends

Whether you’re heading off on your Cape to Cape adventure or winding down from the trail, these are our handpicked spots to eat, sip, stay and savour the best of the Margaret River Region.

Indulge in Nature’s Finest

The Margaret River Region is where your adventure shifts gear — from hiking boots to barefoot luxury. You’ve followed the Cape to Cape’s wild coastline, now let this vibrant corner of WA wrap you in post-hike indulgence. From forest to vineyard, cliff to coastline, Margaret River pulses with surf culture, natural beauty, and the kind of food and wine you hike 130km to deserve.

Feast and Sip Like a Local

After your final trail steps, settle into the region’s dining scene. Think woodfired pizza at Pizzica, house-brewed beers at Margaret River Brewhouse, or Korean BBQ with BYO flair at Teddy’s Big Spoon. These aren’t just meals — they’re memories made around long tables with full hearts. Then there’s the wine. From low-intervention naturals at Walsh & Sons to the refined elegance of Mr Barval and the ocean-aged uniqueness of Subsea Estate, there’s a glass (or bottle) with your name on it.

Unwind, Recharge, and Stay Awhile

Ease into the slower rhythm of post-hike life with a massage or an infrared sauna at MEND, or opt for a mid-hike wellness boost with Jackie’s Garage — a popular add-on for our End-to-End hikers that offers hot and cold contrast therapy, right when you need it most. While all our hiking packages include on-track, tented accommodation, we recommend some great spots to stay before or after your hike. Book in by the sea at Surfpoint Resort (Cape to Cape hiker discount: $125 per night), or enjoy town comforts at Margarets In Town Apartments. That’s the Cape2Camp difference — we get you from trail to table, with comfort and local flair stitched in every step.

Recently completed the Great Southern trip along the Bibbulmun track, from Denmark to Peaceful Bay. What an incredible experience! Having completed large parts of the Bibbulmun with a heavy pack on my back, this was a ‘weightless’ experience over an absolutely stunning part of the track. No need to carry a tent, sleeping bag, food, etc – just a day bag with my raincoat and pre-made lunches (+ a few goodies). It felt like a treat – after a day’s hike, a swim in the ocean, a wine & cheese platter followed by home-made bread with hearty stew, I would sleep like a baby looking forward to the next day’s adventure. A truly great way to be introduced to the track if you want to experience it, with all the trimmings!

Your stories keep us on track—thank you.

Just completed the 2 night 3 day hike and had an amazing time. If you’re looking for an affordable and accessible adventure exploring the amazing Cape to Cape track then this tour is perfect! Loved finishing each day being able to stay in cosy tents already set up, enjoying a drink and yummy food around the camp fire.
Everything is taken care of to ensure all you have to do is enjoy the magical experience of walking along one of the world’s best walking locations.
Highly recommend.

Cape2Camp makes a 3-day hiking trip the best it ever could be. From the tent setup with fluffy doonahs to the delux camp chairs with granny blankets, the delicious food and coconut water, and all the helpful advice provided prior to and during the trip… Cape2Camp totally delivers. I did another 3 day walk a few months after the Cape2Camp trip, and all the planning, logistics and carrying of gear made me soooo appreciative of Cape2Camp and the service they provide. Thank you for making a spectacular walking trail even more special Cape2Camp!🙏

This is such a great set up! I would never have done this walk if it wasn’t for the support of cape2camp. Loved that it was self guided and it was a big group of us, friend’s & family!! Camp sites are unique. Food is great. The hike itself is stunning! We booked the 3 days option. Very doable, but also tired at the end. We all did it with no training. Highly recommend Cape2Camp!
